![]() ![]() When equipped, the mask will shake, indicating that a Korok is hidden somewhere nearby. Korok Mask: By finding the new Korok Mask, players will have a much easier time finding Korok locations in the game. Sort of an odd addition here, but it’s certainly not bad. I can’t quite think of how useful this will be, being able to make one specific travel point on the map, but I suppose if there’s a spot you really like farming or returning to often, it’s useful. Only one travel point can be registered on the map at a time. Link can then transport himself to that point at any time. With the Travel Medallion, players can create a temporary new travel point on the map where they are currently standing. Travel Medallion: There will be a new treasure chest somewhere in the game world which contains the Travel Medallion. But again, this seems like a feature that everyone should have access to, regardless of purchasing the DLC. This is a very good idea as you can see places you’ve never been before, up to 200 hours, which I would think would be enough. This feature will help in identifying the locations they haven’t visited in this vast world, and may help players find those Shrines they haven’t encountered yet. This even works retroactively, so players that have already put many hours into the game will be able to see where they have traveled. The route taken will be tracked for the player’s last 200 hours of play time, with an included slider to track footsteps on a timeline. To help with tracking progress, the new Hero’s Path Mode will document every step players take, and mark their path in green on the map. Hero’s Path Mode : Exploring Hyrule is exciting, but with such a large world it’s sometimes hard for players to remember where they’ve been. It does seem to be a little more involved than simply making enemies tougher, as there’s health regen, possible new ranks of enemies and uh, floating combat platforms? That sounds pretty cool actually. It was always clear Hard Mode was coming to the game in this first DLC, and I’m sure there’s a big crowd (particularly streamers) who are super excited about the new challenge. By successfully reaching these planks, players can battle enemies and collect treasure. In addition, floating planks held aloft by balloons will be scattered around Hyrule. They will also more easily spot Link as he approaches them, making these enemies tougher to sneak up on. Enemies will also slowly recover health in battle, forcing you to defeat them more quickly. Red Bokoblins change to Blue), and players might even encounter higher-ranking enemies they wouldn’t find through normal play. In Hard Mode, the “ranks” of enemies in the game are increased (i.e. ![]() Hard Mode: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is already considered one of the most thrilling games in The Legend of Zelda series, and fans looking for a challenge are in for a treat with the new Hard Mode. Still, I certainly want to give it a shot. Granted, combat can be creative too, but to me this might be focusing on the less-interesting aspect of the game. I like the idea of not starting with anything and having to build up your arsenal as you go, though I am a bit disappointed that this mode if combat focused when the most fun part of Breath of the Wild is its puzzles. This is the main attraction of the DLC, and an interesting mode. ![]()
