![]() ![]() Spiders, good for snubs, highly mobile, QP millage may vary. Ravens are the odd duck, 2 ERLL's or a narcer with ERML's and an SRM or streak back up or perhaps now a rocket 20 as a finsher :) But more of a team mech. Jenners hit a bit harder, FS have JJ's and more energy slots Jenners and firestarters got a movement buff. the 6 streak 2 Pir hunter is also fun, though not really great verse non-lights Jav, I love the 4MPL version, but 4 SRM4's or 6 SRM2's both work well. often you can take down 2 before you really are beat up. they can out run them, hunt them down and more than enough armor to trash them before they hurt you. They are great for piranna killing as well. If you can't pull 500-600 damage in one of these things in QP its you, not the mech. basically the toughest light mech there is from any faction and puts out nice damage. ![]() Just instal a big engine (XL or Light) and it is good to go.Ĭommando 1D 2 SRM4's and a flamer is great fun. Good: Osiris, Javelin(10P only), Panther (9R only), Firestarter (heroes), Commandoįor newbies Urbies and Wolfhounds with MPLs are great. Top: Wolfhound, Flea, Locust, Urbanmech and Commando (hero) If you use short burn time weapons like medium pulses, you can jump-shoot over obstacles (or friendly mechs) without taking much return fire. Urbanmechs shine with combinations of medium pulse lasers and (light) machine guns. ![]() It is one of the most durable lights in the game and it can carry quite a firepower. In fact my most successful lights were Commando (very strong) and Firestarter (probably more lucky than powerful, but still good) hero variants. Commandos are good mechs and Firestarters are ok in QP, just not with flamers. Flamer lights are not good unless you're playing with a group. Been thinking about Urbanmech but shy away because although it has a medium mechs Armour value, Ballistic weapons need a lot of face time sometimes, not very confident. Wolfhound are light glass cannon play style though I find. Gunner a écrit :I feel Flamer lights are kind of squishy and suicidal, high probability of getting fragged early on in the match? I do not play Faction Play so, Commandos and Firestarters are out the window? Or take out half ton of ammo and add 1 Jump Jet. Both have their uses but have flaws that make them less useful, Jenner having a massive torso and the Panther being a bit slow and having its main guns, usually PPCs, in its big and relatively easy to hit right arm.Įdit: If you want a couple Flamers you could try something like this. The weakest would probably be the Jenner and Panther. Most other IS lights are good but a bit below these 3 (4 if you count Flea), Raven, Urbanmech, Osiris, Commando (Many swear by it though), Firestarter (just a worse Wolfhound). Run it with either 4xMPL or 5xMed Lasers/ER Med Lasers. Most people use an XL Engine in it but I recommend a Light Engine, it further strengthens the already tanky nature of the design and the Wolfy doesn't need the speed that others like the Raven and Osiris need. With Survival Tree skills it soaks the damage of a heavy mech with its armor and hitboxes. Excellent hitboxes, weapon placement, armor quirks, and maneuverability. In fact, my favorite and most dangerous mech. The Wolfhound is the other great IS light. :P Get Heat Gen and Range nodes along with FULL Radar Dep as they run hot and cannot take direct hits at all, especially ATMs or Streaks. Should happen soon and I'm not looking forward to a bunch more Fleas running around when it happens. When the Flea releases for cbills the -20 will be very similar to the Pirate's Bane. If you have some MC lying around the Hero Pirate's Bane can have ECM/Stealth Armor to make it even more of a pain to deal with. Get Survival Tree skills and Radar Dep since you will be face-hugging assaults.įor speed the Locust is king, 4 Med Lasers or 4 SPLs and enough speed to make you queasy. Shred some arm armor, you really don't need it in the SRM builds. It is a tanky little thing with good hitboxes. Can get 1000 damage if you get pretty good with it. Get in when you get the opportunity, when you start getting shot run and repeat. The Javelin with 4xSRM4 or 5xSRM2 is fairly straightforward. ![]()
